How can energy be saved from lighting in common areas?

To help control the energy consumption of lighting, motion detectors should be installed in common areas. When the lights are on only when needed, savings of approximately 80% can be achieved.

Using old lamps with new lamp bulbs is not the best option. Buying new energy efficient lamps is better and saves a lot of energy. The screw cap of a traditional lamp bulb is E27 and of a newer energy efficient bulb E14.
